My School in the news....

My school is in the paper today...I was so bz with this event last 2 weeks...as the 'Tauke' for star paper school level..I felt that it was my obligation to make sure everything goes smoothly as possible eventhough I am juz one on the 'kuli' for the event...anyways I was proud that everything went well..Alhamdulillah...

Help from old boy

BANK Pembangunan Malaysia has sponsored 10,000 copies of The Star to SMK Tinggi Setapak, Kuala Lumpur.

The bank's chief executive officer, Datuk Abdul Rahim Mohd Zin, handed over a mock cheque to The Star’s senior manager of circulation G. Damodaram in support of the Star-NiE (Newspaper in Education) programme.

“We are aware of the importance of the English language and it is our responsibility as corporate leaders to help students,” said Abdul Rahim.

The sponsorship will see SMK Tinggi Setapak receiving 200 copies of The Star every Wednesday from July to September, which totals 2,200 copies.

Abdul Rahim hands over copies of The Star to Che Azizah. Looking on are Damodaram and The Star’s circulation executive Alvin Liew.

The balance of 7,800 copies will be distributed next year after the school break.

While many corporations and institutions supported the Star-NiE programme by sponsoring schools, this is one of the larger packages received by a single school.

“We are honoured to have Abdul Rahim’s contribution and we are delighted that he remembers his roots,” said principal Che Azizah Saad.

An old boy of the school, Abdul Rahim took a trip down memory lane as he visited his alma mater for the first time since 1980 when he completed his secondary education.

“The students are excited by his visit and they were on their best behaviour to give him the perfect welcome,” Che Azizah said.

After a rousing welcome by the marching band, the school choir serenaded Abdul Rahim with a medley of songs that included The Greatest Love of All, Can't Take My Eyes Off You and I Will Follow You.

The school's dance troupe also performed an entertaining routine during the presentation.

Abdul Rahim recalled his days as a band member and pledged monetary assistance to improve the band.

“I was the pulse of the band as I played the drums. I wish I had played the bagpipes but I was too frail back then. Unlike the more privileged students today, we didn’t have uniforms.”

He was also a member of the prefect board where he served as head boy in the afternoon session and quartermaster of the school band.

“It is good to receive the sponsorship as newspapers provide opportunities for students to improve their English,” said Ho Kok Chieu, who briefly taught Abdul Rahim.

“I remember him as a pleasant individual and this contribution goes a long way.”

There are now more than 500 schools taking part in the NiE programme and about 12,000 copies of The Star are distributed.

Real name..Ahmad Rijaluddin Alfarouqi....baru turned 5 years old last 2nd July...nick tu pon...my new acquitance yg bagi....I dun really mind at all coz I do call him Ahmad rather than Rijal..Ijal or watsoeverlah.....This blog is even named after him...inilah dia my son....Skrg nie dah banyak lagik akal dia....tp the thing I kelako or even impress ngan dia is his sense of the malay languange...skema ya amat....ni musti pengaruh afi n abah nie....as long as dia tak ckp bende2 nonsense sudahlah kan....

My conversation with him tonite really had a deep impact and got me to think...how innocent a child can be about life...death...he is now into writing...memorising my name...my father's name...nama walid dia dah hafal dah....cuma nama ummi dia ni yg still nak familiarkan...esp nama akhir tue...Abdul Aziz...sebut more mcm haddul aziz...dah banyak kali kena corrected...mlm td it was more deep...he was asking me abt my late father...who was he?...where is he?...dia ngan my mom sapa?...so kenalah explain one by one...It went something like this....

Amat: Abdul Aziz ni sape?

Me: Ayah ummi lah...

Amat: taklah...atuk amatlah....

Amat: Atuk amat dengan wan sape?

Me: Suami isterilah mcm ummi ngan walid...

Amat: Mana atuk amat?

Me:Atuk dah meninggal....

Amat: KEnapa?

Me:Sebb sakit......

Amat: Sakit apa ummi?

Me: Sakit perut.....

Amat:Ummi bagilah ubat oren amat tue....

Me: Mana buleh sayang....eheheh(tergelak sorang2 dalam hati)

Amat:Kenapa tak bg ubat oren amat tue....nanti baiklah...

Me:Tak buleh sayang......( at this point...dah tak terkata apa2 pon)

That's my Amat......ader je soalan2 challenging nak tanya tiap2 ari......Hopefully next time I'm better prepared......

The Grand Finale!

As I said...I tgk citer ni more in the middle...right masa they started to be nice to each other...it was a great episod...a very2 classic one....the sweet moments..the background music...and the tinggling feeling everytime I watch it...rasa mcm sumer org yg tgk sure suker scenes tue....We thought that it will continue that way sampailah ke hujung nyer...well it did't!..the next epi made me so tense up...it was their big fight..first time emilda ever stood up to emil...it was an unforgettable experience.....there were more ups n downs...but the climax was when emil finally confess his love for emilda...it was another great moment...the way he express his words...the way he looked into her eyes...eventhough like wat ezad said..it was a challenging scene to do because it was done in an exterior surroundings...the noise...the inability of nani to shed a tear...was another great challenge...but all in all...for me...I felt puas.....tak reti nak espress that in English...eheheh...for me ulang banyak kali pon tak menjemukan....But apapon...it was not the grand finale....another suprise....after thinking that emil is married and after seing wat she thought was a perfect picture of a family of emil,nisa n amat..she left town...but not before leaving a gudbye note...another tearful moment...not only for me...but esp.for emil....he wasn't given the chance to come clear abt nisa n amat.....

After 15 months of agony...rasanyelah kan...I mean..masa I berjauhan ngan my hubby for 5 months pon rasa mcm ages sgt...tu dgn both of our knowledge...ni kalau jenis yg goes MIA...tak ker u feel mcm your whole life is going no where...no light at the end of the tunnel.....and all u can hold on to is hope...a hope of one day you might able to meet the love of you life again....explain everything....n eventually live happily ever after......

The moment of truth finally came....emilda accidentally bumped into nisa at dagang avenue tue...n emilda got the chance to know the truth...the whole truth n nothing but the truth....rasa2 camner she felt at that moment?...happy?..sad?...relieved?....dun really know...pero...I think all 3..in 1 kan...yerlah saperlah suruh larik gitu jer..without hearing out emil's explanation...Making your own assumption based on what you see....which sometimes is true but there are exceptional times.....where confronting face to face is the best way to solve problems....I dun really know how I can explain that kodak moment but I will leave it to the excerpts from the script to do that for me.....

BILIK EMIL (BILIK TAN SRI)

Emil yang bersuit segak sedang menemuduga salah seorang calon PAnya. Seorang perempuan seksi gedik sedang memberi keterangan.

Extra dengan muncung terus keluar. Tinggal Emil seorang diri mengeluh. Dia mencampakkan semua resume bergambar calon PA di atas mejanya. Tiba tiba dia teringatkan Emilda. Dia membuka laci. Ada gambar paper cutting dia dan Emilda sedang menari. Emil memusingkan kerusinya dan menghadap tingkap. Dia tersenyum penuh rindu. Tak der siapa yang boleh menandingi Emilda. Interkom berbunyi.

INTERKOM

En Emil…

Kita ada calon terakhir…

Emil malas nak terima. Tapi terpaksa terima jugak,.

EMIL

Suruh dia masuk…

Emil masih duduk membelakangkan pintu. Emilda berdiri dengan nervous. Emil bertanya.

Awak pandai buat jemput jemput tak?

EMILDA

Tak…

So kenalkan siapa diri awak…

Sebaik saja nama itu disebut. Emil terus memusingkan kerusinya. Dia terus bangun tak terkata apa. Tergamam. Tiba tiba ajer air matanya bergenang (jangan jatuh tak macho!). Air mata kerinduan. Begitu jugak Emilda. Dia kelihatan sama seperti masa mula mula dia berkenalan dengan Emil dulu. Nerd! Dengan suara sebak menahan kerinduan Emil menghulurkan tangannya hendak berjabat tangan. Dia benar benar tak sangka Emilda kini berdiri di hadapannya.

EMIL

Hi…nama saya Emil…

Emilda menjawab sambil memandang Emil dengan mata berkaca. Dia berseloroh

Hi…tak tanya pun…

Mereka berdua tergelak sambil mengesat air mata. Spontan itu Emil terus memeluk Emilda dengan penuh kerinduan.

Jangan buat saya macam ni lagi Emilda…

Saya…saya tak boleh hidup tanpa awak…(sebak)

CAMERA SLOWLY TRACK OUT - Mereka berdua terus berpelukan melepaskan rindu. Kemudian pintu terbuka dengan sendirinya. EJ, Nazeem dan MAC terus menerpa masuk. Mereka berdua terjerit jerit excited bertemu dengan. Yang pasti EJ mengandung okie…dengan siapa? Surpriseee….

SINOPSIS EMIL EMILDA

Ermm..I was thinking of putting the synopsis myself...I mean my own versionlah...tp rasa cam time consuming lah plaks...apapon I got this from budiey.com...rasanyer ramai dah bloggers ambil from there...so I pon nak tumpang sekaki...Insyaallah I'll try n give my own input as much as possible...

Emil Emilda mengisahkan cerita seorang gadis bernama Emilda yang bekerja sebagai seorang kerani fail di sebuah stesen televisyen tempatan.

Di sebalik kekurangannya yang tidak menarik dan ‘clumsy’ Emilda merupakan satu satunya pekerja yang amat disayangi oleh Tan Sri Nik Baseera, CEO stesyen televisyen Baseera Media Group (CHANNEL TWELVE) kerana minat Emilda yang mendalam dunia penyiaran.

Pada suatu hari Tan Sri yang tidak mempunyai waris melainkan satu satunya anak saudara perempuannya yang tamak dan zalim telah mendapat khabar berita bahawa satu satunya anak kandungnya yang hilang disebabkan sebuah kemalangan jalan raya 20 tahun lalu telah pun ditemui.

Justeru itu Tan Sri nekad mahu bertemu dengan anak kandungnya itu yang bernama Boboi itu. Malang sekali sewaktu dalam perjalanan untuk bertemu dengan anak tunggalnya (yang belum pun ditemui secara empat mata) helikopter yang dinaiki oleh Tan Sri telah meletop di udara dan Tan Sri terkorban.

Akibat daripada itu Stesyen televisyen Channel Twelve kehilangan CEO nya. Maka Darleena, satu satu anak saudaranya yang jahat merasakan dirinya adalah penganti yang paling tepat. Malang sekali Nazeem, peguam syarikat memberitahu semua ahli lembaga pengarah sebelum berlepas Tan Sri Baseera sempat berpesan sekiranya terjadi apa apa pada dirinya, dia mahu Emilda menjadi pengantinya sementara Boboi dicari.

Maka dalam sekelip mata dari seorang kerani fail yang sentiasa merendah diri, ‘clumsy’ dan ‘nerd’ Emilda dinobatkan sebagai CEO baru Baseera Media Group. Namun begitu tidak semudah yang dijangkakan Emilda dikena kan syarat… dia harus mencari seorang suami dalam tempoh enam jam.

Itulah syarat yang telah dipersetujui oleh ahli lembaga pengarah. Demi menyelamatkan Channel Twelve dari jatuh ke tangan wanita sejahat Darleena, Emilda sedar dia perlu menggalas harapan Tan Sri.

Justeru itu dengan bantuan Nazeem, peguam syarikat yang setia, dan MAC dan EJ dua sahabat karibnya mereka bersama sama berganding bahu mempertahankan Channel Twelve.

Masalahnya, macam mana Emilda terpaksa mencari bakal suaminya dalam tempoh enam jam? Di sini Emil pun muncul menyelamatkan keadaan….apa cerita seterusnya… saksikanlah kemunculan pertama kali Sharifah Amani sebagai Emilda dalam drama bersiri komedi romantik EMIL EMILDA di slot Samarinda Mac ini di TV3!
